You can book an appointment any way you've always done. You can call us directly, send us a Facebook message, send us an email, fill out our form on our CONTACT US page, or use our ONLINE BOOKING option. We'll be happy to book you an appointment that is convenient for you.
What is TeleRehab?
TeleRehab is a term that we use to describe a physiotherapy session that is completed through a video call. This means that you are connected to your physiotherapist through your computer, phone or tablet. They can see you and you can see them. You can hear each other.
During a TeleRehab physiotherapy session, your physiotherapist can complete an assessment of your condition or problem and give you some recommendations on how to best manage this at home. If appropriate, your physiotherapist might recommend exercises and guide you through them while you are on the call with them.
Is TeleRehab the same as being in the clinic?
Physiotherapists can recommend home treatment that will be very similar to what you would do in the clinic. However, there are some limitations with TeleRehab to consider. Because your physiotherapist is not physically able to assist you, balance exercises might be modified for safety. Manual therapy or any other hands-on techniques can't be done.
You can make significant progress at home, with the guidance of a physiotherapist. Your progress might be slower depending on the nature of your problem, but you can still make significant changes to help you manage your condition or injury until we can safely return to a clinical setting.
What do I need to participate in TeleRehab?
The minimum equipment required is a computer, phone or tablet with internet access. You will receive a link that will take you directly to your appointment.
No other equipment is necessary. If certain items are required to complete specific exercises, your physiotherapist will help you find common household items that you have already in your home.
How do I pay for my TeleRehab session?
Payments are made either by e-transfer or by phone for credit card payments. If you have personal benefits, we can attempt direct billing. You will have to verify with your insurance company that they will accept virtual physiotherapy claims.
I'm not sure I want to do TeleRehab. Do I have another option?
